What to watch between English and Arabic

Standard Arabic vs dialects

Written Arabic is usually Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), understood across the Arab world. Spoken dialects (Egyptian, Gulf, Levantine) differ a lot; the translator writes MSA unless the Casual tone is chosen.

Gendered "you"

Arabic has different forms for addressing a man, a woman or a group (أنتَ، أنتِ، أنتم). Generic English "you" is usually rendered masculine; edit it if you address a woman.

Numbers and direction

Text runs right to left, but numbers read left to right. Some regions use Eastern Arabic digits (٣٠); the number check compares Western digits, so verify those by eye.
